For the past 5 years or so I have been using an Exxon/Mobil gas credit card that rebates $.15 per gallon. No annual fee and I don't care about the interest rate. It is a Citibank card. I get back about $30 per month on the card which is pretty good.... www.exxonmobilcard.com

Anyone got any good deals on credit cards for gas? I have another card (Amex through Fidelity) that I use for all my other purchases as it pays 2% back. (www.fiacardservices.com), so I am looking for a card for gas only....

I use Chase BP Visa and I get 5% back on all BP gas purchases but zero on any other gas. For other gas, I use my Marriott Visa as they give me double points for gas.

For the first 30 or 60 days, the BP card pays 10% back.

In my region of the US, most all gas stations charge the same. With 5% off, it takes a whole lot of cheapness at almost $4 per gallon not to pay to pump at BP.

Other regions are probably different but that it the best I have found.

I have a Chevron/Texaco card, but rarely use it. I only use it if I'm low on cash and need gas. I pay it off as soon as the bill comes in, though.

I did some searching and it looks like Penfed has what I need. 5% back on all gas purchases; any station. No monthly minimum to get the 5%. I applied and will report back on how it goes...

I have the Penfed card and it is great. They credit your cash rebate to your account at the end of each monthly billing cycle. I love it. I also have the Exxon Mobil gas card but didn't find it very useful because most of the Exxon stations in my area are 2-10 cent higher in price anyway.

Wow. You purchase 200 gallons of gas a month?! I don't buy that much gas in five or six months.

depending on your annual spending levels, the American Express Blue Cash card is my favorite. But the first $6,000 of spending is a lower tier. Once you pass that in spending, you get 5% on gas, groceries, and pharmacy, and 1.25% on everything else.

I think the exxon/mobil card with rebate, judging by the price of exxon/mobil vs other stations almost everywhere i've been, the rebate is largely wiped out by the higher price you're paying.

definitely visit gasbuddy.com to compare prices. if you have a smartphone, download the app.

I got approved (but haven't received yet) my Costco AMEX card that gives 3% off of gas purchases. I also have the executive membership that gives 2% off of all purchases.

So in theory, I should be getting 5% off of all Costco gas purchases which are already cheap to begin with. Can anyone confirm?
