It's not very good advice for most people.

You go on not having a credit score. I'll go on reaping the amazing perks of credit cards (5% back on groceries, consumer protection, free extended warranties, yes please).

Having no credit score is different then a crappy one. If a job asks about my credit score and I will simply explain it to them. I also would not be too happy working for a company who makes the decision based on this number.

Of course. Always trust people who have no history of dealing with other people's money (IE loans). Those scum bags who pay their credit cards off early every time can't be trusted!

I'm shocked that's not a majority of the country.
Sounds to me like you know nothing about economic demographics in the USA. You can google this stuff quickly.

Household means group of people within a house.

They way I see it...if you plan to borrow money in the future then a credit score is important, it will award you lower interest rates and less hassle. If you don't then it is much less important. Sure insurance companies, landlords and possibly employers will use this number as a tool to access an individual but I wont carry debt for these reasons.

it is just a very different approach to personal finance as most people look at it. My parents say they have a 800 credit score. When I tell them it probably cost them 100-200K in interest to acquire such a score they looked at me sideways.

There is no way anyone is going to convince me at this point in my life to worry about my credit score. People lived just fine before they existed and can continue to.

You don't need to carry debt. I'm in the mid 700s and I pay off my credit every month. They hate me but I'm still doing admirably. That's without factoring in the bonuses.

That is perfectly fine and I have nothing against doing that. I just find it funny when people get mad at me because I don't use Credit Cards or take out any loans and don't really care about my credit score. People usually respond with "how are you going to buy a car?" or "What about an emergency?".
