True, we work so much there's hardly any time to spend the money we make.

Honestly, I'd have to earn a considerable amount more than I do now (the equivalent of over $10,000 a month) to be life changing. I have everything I need and want on my current salary. My lifestyle is pretty solid, too, especially since I no longer have to deploy. At this point, unless I'm earning so much more that I can move into a different lifestyle group, none of the monetary choices in the poll would do anything for me.

You'd be surprised, I used to think the same thing.

But then something happens where your goals change. 4 years ago I would have thought an extra $3k would let me quit my high stress job and get a job working in a state park just driving around in one of those little UTVs maintaining the grounds for $15 an hour happy as a pig in *****.

Now my goal is to get at least 10 investment properties cash flowing $4,000 a month which would cover all outgoing expenses.
