Based on what I've input so far, I owe <$50 to federal which is fine, and am due ~$1600 from state. I have a previous year balance for state, so it will more than wipe it out (yay!) and I should end up with around $400. Which will go to paying something down or into savings. Right now I am focusing on savings so probably that. We'll see.
Completed today. Once I ran the state portion, things changed a bit. I owe $307 to federal and $116 to state (e-filed and signed up to have it auto-withdrawn on 4/15). Sigh. Oh well. I'm in a much better position than years past so I will pay it and move on. Wish I was getting a little something back but grateful to not owe more. Would have been nice to wipe out that state balance.

yep.

If I get something back, that would mean I did something wrong. I would adjust my W4.

Will probably almost break even again. House is almost paid off and other than college books there isn't much to claim.

Ran my numbers yesterday. I owe about $100 to state and about $600 to Federal. My goal is always to owe less than $1000 total, so I did well. I'm going to adjust just a little bit so I owe less next year.

We owed the last 2 years and it sucked. This year we are getting a refund. We will be paying off one CC and a couple medical bills.

I get a refund because with interest rates on savings accounts these days, it's not like it would make any real difference, and this way, I get a nice chunk all at once. I use it towards vacations or for a planned big ticket item like new furniture. This year will be a vacation.

Usually we break even. We'll get a bit from federal and then have to pay state.

Our car tags are usually due around the same time, so we have to pay that too.

In the end, I think we end up getting like $100-$200 back.

We finally got my wife's W2s so, I'll be doing them this weekend.
