I was approved for capital one unsecured card back in dec 2014 when my credit score was 450, now is around 625. Your best bet will always be capital one. There is no other option unless you want to use your own money (secured card), which I always refused to do. They don't do many increases, but if they give you $300 limit, you're automatically signed up for 6 months steps. By the 6th month of paying on time, more than minimum, you will automatically get a $500 increase, then you can apply for another increase, and they will give you another one. Basically, your limit will go up to $1100 to 1300.
Then, after 1 year or so, you may get an offer to transform your basic credit card to a quicksilver mastercard with no annual fees. This card is not advertised on their website. It comes with cashback, but is not as good as the quicksilver visa signature, which requires good credit.
I believe the OP said that they had been denied for secured cards, including Cap1. Maybe in addition to the low score, there are things on the credit report that are an automatic denial.

Secure cards? How can you denied for a secured card when it is your money?

Because it is their card, credit either secured or unsecured is not a right, it is a privilege extended by the issuing company. Would you do business with this guy, in any shape or form?

I got an unsecured capital one with a 440 creditkarma faco, and we all know, creditkarma is 20 points higher than your real fico. I also had a few charge offs. OP is obviously hiding some information.
There's are too many things and high amounts I owe. I would have to pay all of them to improve my credit which isnt worth it. My idea with a card would be to start fresh while the old stuff eventually disappears. I have other bills I always pay, taxes are all paid in full etc.
The old stuff just doesn't disappear. Clearly you have no idea of how credit cards work
