401k with one company.
Roth IRA with another company.
Brokerage account with another company.

All funds/stocks chosen by me.

3 total here and it's just because I like different offerings from each based on my needs for those accounts.

I used to have several but have consolidated to Fidelity and feel I am better served for it.

My wife's and my IRA's are at T. Rowe Price but the rest of my investments I manage myself at Schwab.

All of ours (2 Rollover IRAs and 2 Roth IRAs) are at Schwab. Same for our two regular brokerage accounts.

Roth 401k with one company
Rollover IRA, Roth IRA (started earlier this year) and taxable account with another company
Another partial IRA with another company started this year. Transfer hasn't happen yet.

I may move the Roth 401k to another company (starting a new job soon) or move all of my IRAs into one company. Everything is done for a reason.

401k with government employer
Roth IRA with Vanguard

I'm planning to roll over part of my government 401k into a tIRA for several reasons. I've considered Fidelity but will probably stay with Vanguard. Fidelity has too many choices for me, I'm more familiar with the Vanguard funds, and I'm not a sophisticated investor so just want to keep it simple with index funds.

I've been with Fidelity since 1994. My previous employers have had T. Rowe Price and Prudential, but I moved my assets over to Fidelity when I left the firms.
