I’m a bit irritated. I have credit cards with Capital One, Citi, Discover and Chase. The first three show my credit score is between 734-750, but the Chase Credit Journey says my score is 688. For the past 6 months, it has consistently had my score in the 600s while the rest have placed me squarely in the 700s. In March, Chase said my score was 584! It says it is powered by “TransUnion” but at least one of the others also pulls from TransUnion and doesn’t result in the same score. Should I call Chase and alert them that their numbers are out of line? It seems really weird. Most of my accounts are with Chase, including checking and savings.

I get the fact that different companies use different calculations, but a difference of over 100 points seems egregious to me. A 584 score on Credit Journey vs a 725 score with Citi FICO in March. The CJ score has gone up to 688 since then but still a 60 point difference. The Credit Journey doesn’t let me pull up any specific information.

I view credit scores as I view my blood glucose meter readings. +/- 20%.

Yeah, but you can’t get a loan for a house with a 584 credit score, but you can with a 750. I bought a car this year and got the “well-qualified buyer” 0.9% APR which makes me think the Credit Journey score is inaccurate.

I have no idea why they are saying it is so low. My credit utilization is fairly low (<20%) and I have zero missed payments.

Chase knows that the numbers are out of line. They have been doing this for some time, I looked in to it some years ago and if you search the web you can find tons of people with the same issue. The other trend you'll notice while looking in to it is that Chase constantly uses this erroneously low credit score as justification to deny request to lower interest rates on credit cards

my chase score has been in the 800's ever since i have been getting them so that is bull. what people don't realize is the scores from the credit card companies are NOT fico consumer scores . they are fico 8 bank card scores .that is NOT a comprehensive consumer score . it does not weight other debt very heavily and has algorithms that are relatyed to only credit card usage.

some fico 8 scores run to 900 not 850 too
