My advice to those of you with banking "challenges" would be to move your banking to a smaller, LOCAL bank. (That's in "good financial health.")
Make regular visits into your branch. Get to know the tellers by name. Make sure they know your name. Start a "banking relationship" with an institution. There are also things that you can do, so they remember you, 2-3 months later.

This used to be much more common with local small town banks. Not as common today.
They didn’t lock down your account to protect you, they did it to protect them. And if you don’t make large deposits ever I could see their want to add in protection for themselves
Absolutely correct, probably because way too many people deposited Nigeran checks, withdrawn money before it cleared, than are surprised they have to pay it back after the check bounces. Not that a house sale is in the same category as a foreign check, but the idea is the same, better for the funds to completely clear before doing any kind of withdrawal.
7 days. Deposited on a Friday and it was available the following Friday.
