Default OK, so after all of the pet food recall, which one do you.....

Now, I got a really important question to y'all
Were you affected by it at all, or do you have a different brand all together. If so, which one, and can you recommend it and why?
I am searching for a dry food, which is good for them and my dogs will actually like. I have tried: Eukanuba (drop it because of animal testing), solid gold "wolf king", science diet "potatoe and fish" because my shepherd has severe allergies (BTW they HATED IT!), went on to one all natural (they didn't really care for it either)
Please help!
Thank's!

I actually had two pouches of the affected food in my pantry. I only use that type of wet food for "treats" sometimes on dry food, and thank God I had not used any of them!!

My dog eats the Nutro dry food. Not affected in that recall, thank goodness.
Why I like it: no by-products, is recommended as being higher quality, and is tasty according to my dog! :-)

You know, I created "monsters"...lol
I feed them dryfood, but have to put something under it....but it HAS to be human food (Unseasoned chicken, beef, fish etc.) Well, table food, which I don't season for them
So, if there is a dry food in there they don't like, they WON'T eat it....period!
I have tried the home cooking thing for them, but, working and all...I can't do it.
So, I better start looking for a dry food they actually like, and is healthy for them.....

Oh, I forgot....canned veggies mixed in the dry food is actually really good for the dog! I do that and so does my mom with her pups. Inexpensive, too!

I was told NOT to do that, because of all the salt in it?

I was not affected. We feed Canidae and Merrick's canned as a treat once in a blue moon.

Default Royal Canan For German Shepherds #24

We use Royal Canan For German Shepherds #24. It has not been recalled and our shepherd loves it.

I was watching a Vet talk the other day on Oprah and he said as I have heard many do before that dogs and cats are carnivores and should really be eating meat and getting it raw...

I have a cat that I adopted at Thanksgiving and he is having trouble eating, I have been feeding him turkey and he does well with that. Money is a little tight for me at the moment but I want to make their food for them from meat the same quality that people eat except they say to grind up the bones and also add in the heart and liver. Of course the recipe I found also has a few supplements as well.

My sister makes her Beagle its own food and freezes up enough of it for a couple weeks, she just takes a bag out the night before and in that bag is enough to feed them for one day.

We used to feed Innova dry.(Great food) But then discovered Merrick.
So Merrick it is. (Turducken) I like it because they use organic chicken and the furkids go crazy for it.
