Quote:
a person who has lived and traveled in many countries, esp one who is free of national prejudices
1. having interest in or familiar with many parts of the world
2. sophisticated or urbane
3. composed of people or elements from all parts of the world or from many different spheres
Do you consider yourself cosmopolitan and you live in the city? Or do you directly know someone who is cosmopolitan (living in the city)? IE: They / you have lived in / traveled to multiple countries or are from other countries? Or possibly just that you yourself have lived in particularly a lot of US locations IE NYC, San Fran, LA, Chicago, etc.

I've driven through St. Louis (when moving to Philly from LA actually) but have never spent any time there. I'm not cosmopolitan

Nor have I even set foot in Memphis or Milwaukee.

I am cosmopolitan because of my age and experience which has nothing to do with where I live. I have been to St Louis and Memphis and Milwaukee and LA and everywhere else. you can think of...... except Japan. haven't been to Japan.

I live & work in Hollywood and earn a living as a camera operator, mainly on commercials and music videos. I've even done a fair amount of stage acting which I learned a huge amount in Philadelphia.
Oh, I have been to a few places around the world for work and serving in the US Army (82nd Airrrrborne Baaaaby...Hooah) lol

Been to many places in the states....., but have not been to Milwaukee or Memphis yet but I'll get there....one day.

I definitely consider myself cosmopolitan. I've traveled/lived all over the world (even Milwaukee, Memphis, and St. Louis!). Unfortunately, not living in a city now, but we're going to fix that.

I used to think I had a fairly wide world view. I've lived in 7 states, visited 48 states (along with 7 Canadian provinces and 1 territory!) and I've traveled to over 40 countries on 5 continents. I have also been to St Louis (4 times) and Milwaukee. Sadly, however, I'm embarrassed to admit that even though I've been to Knoxville, I've never been to Memphis. I'm afraid until I correct this oversight, you need to categorize me as one of Philly's less sophisticated provincial dudes.
