I am considering relocating to my company's Conshohocken office. Coming from the midwest, and having a wife and small child I'm wondering what suburbs you would reccommend for good schools and safety. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is a wide vareity of towns in that area from very modest to ridiculously rich. What kind of money are you looking to spend on housing/rent? That will help us narrow the search.

Hopefully under $2k a month. I do know that I'm spoiled where I'm at right now as far as house payments go.

In fairly accurate order in terms of school quality, tho all are in or close to the top 10 in the state:
Tredyffrin Easttown (berwyn, paoli, parts of wayne, parts of malvern) semi snooty
Radnor (Super snooty)
Lower Merion (Too rich to be snooty)
Great Valley (Pretty great place, but may be too far for you to drive) - Malvern
Wallingford Swarthmore - (Pretty liberal but down to earth..may be too far for you)
Media (Lawyers and apparently lots of liberals headin that way too - America's home town tho)
Downingtown - Suburban sprawl at its finest...all the new developments may depress home values, further out than the rest of the burbs
West Chester - Big version of Media - hometown feel but also yuppie central these days

I've also heard good things about Upper Merion schools in Conshohocken, but I tend to believe the data rather than single data points from parents who have a vested interest in believing the schools they chose for their kids are great...but any of those I've mentioned are the best down this way.
