Good afternoon, everyone!

I am new to this website, but have been LOVING all of the useful information on here. Thank you all for all of that!

My husband and I currently live in Georgia. We are a military family that has been bounced around from state to state to state. Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, South Carolina, just to name a few.

My husband served 9 years and during that time, we have had 3 children. We are looking for a starter home, one that we can live in for approximately 5-7 years and then rent out. However, we want to live in the same area as the home that we rent. We just want to start with something small to get a general feel of the area and get settled. Then, move to something that is more suited for us once we have other careers and all of that settled. I just like to stay in the same town so that my children can stay in the same district with the same friends.

Any way, my husband is due out of the military at the end of this year and we are looking into buying a home. From all of our moves, we know how to look based on school district, price range, rate of crime, suburbs vs. city life, etc.

However, once you get into a specific area, it is nice to be able to see how life is on things that aren't a statistic: annual income, the percentages of the nationality of the people, etc.

We think that the Morrisville, PA / Levittown, PA area would be perfect for us! It is right in the middle of both of our families, we would want our children in Pennsbury High School and that school district, and the price range seems to be great for a starter home as well as a home to settle down in.

What are the pros and cons of both cities? And ultimately, which one would you recommend and why?

We have seen beautiful homes that fit both of our price ranges in both towns. It would just be great to hear from some of the locals.

Thank you all so much!

Yardley is nicer than Morrisville, but is much more expensive. In a way, Morrisville is to Yardley what Trenton is to Princeton.

Hi, we were in your situation 5 years ago. I wanted a good starter home that had no issues, so I bought my first home in Morrisville.

We are now going to be moving to Richboro and that house is for sale. Why don't you come check out my Morrisville home? It was built in 2007 and is hassle free. I can tell you the listing price is not the real price and is highly negotiable. It is in a prime rental part of the town, you would have zero issues renting it out. In fact, this is what I am going to do myself if I cannot sell it. Then you can simply move a couple miles down the road to Fairless Hills and get your Pennsbury school district for your kids.

Feel free to call my realtor to schedule a showing.

Also, I love Georgia. I wish I could go back (Georgia Southern graduate)
