Blizzard warning and prediction of 12-18" this weekend. Personally I can't wait. Ive got a stockpile of books, TV shows to binge watch, and some recipes to try. Will be nice to have a weekend where I "can't" do anything

What are your plans for this snowy weekend?

The best part is I NEVER have to commute in any of it EVER again. Three cheers for retirement!

I stocked up on wine, movies, and junk food! I'm really glad this is happening over a weekend so it doesn't f up my work commute. Gonna be a great day to just hang out and do nothing!

Let's be honest- with current models calling for 12-18 inches of snow from Friday night into Sunday morning combined with whiteout conditions from potential 35 mph winds, none of us would be commuting anywhere. PennDOT couldn't plow that mess fast enough if their lives depended on it, to say nothing of local roads leading to the major highways.

My current place of employment is 24/7, and we're not planning on any staff getting here on Saturday. Anyone scheduled to be here Friday night is going to end up getting cots to sleep on and massive amounts of overtime.

Personally, I can't wait.

This is the first snow storm since we left our house in Rochester for a condo. Shoveled every day for 3 months. Not our problem any more!

Our plans are to bundle up and make the 2 block journey to the Race Street Cafe and camp out in front of the fireplace.

Bring it!!

Ready to go.

We're like Becca - stocked with wine and chesse and pay-per-view. Best of all, we're in a condo so no shoveling. I did enough of that growing up in Delaware.

Enjoy the snow, everyone.

Agreed. It's pure luck that it's happening on a weekend. BUT that should mean that there should be a good effort at getting a lot of plowing done on Sunday.

As long as the EL/BSL are running I could always get to work. No need to drive in snow. Years ago Penn(university) would do foolish things like close after storms started. Nowadays they close for just about any snow event(major/minor).

Well, if the kitchen staff can't get there you may be hunkering down at home.
