the city still hasn’t had a pro team-dynasty using your criteria. The Flyers came close in the early 70s appearing in three consecutive finals appearances.

TheJersey Shore BlueClaws (Phillies minor league affiliate) are the only team I can find so far that had a dynasty. 3 championships in 2006, 2006, 2009 and 2010. I’ll look more later. It’s a fun time waster.

Expand it to include college?
'Nova's women's cross country won 7 Division 1- championships between 1989-1998.

The Eagles just missed using the 10 year criteria - 1948, 1949, 1960.

The Philadelphia Soul meet that criteria if you account arena football (Which I do not!).

Of course, but there's no denying they were a dynasty at one time while playing in Philadelphia.

So, yes, Philadelphia has had a sports dynasty.

You should have said that was the criteria before moving the goalposts.

There are franchises older than the Phillies.

The four major leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) are all that matters.

I wouldn't consider that a dynasty. A dynasty is the number of Rings won + sustained run of excellence.

From 1950-1959, the Eagles went 51-64-5 for a %42.5 win percentage... 4 straight losing seasons.

perspective: Cowboys Dynasty went 22 seasons without a losing season. The Patriots' dynasty went 19 seasons without a losing season. 49ers- 13, Steelers 12, Packers 8 and the cowboys' second dynasty, 7.

This is why Media and fans use 3 championships in 5 years.

Even if you consider the A's as a Philadelphia team, it's been 110 years since the last dynasty. That's pathetic.

Frame the question 'Which cities have the longest dynasty drought?' Philadelphia would be first since Houston and Phoenix never had one. Still not a good look either way.

The Cowboys only had one dynasty.
