i hope this is the right area of pa to post this

a family is getting married this summer in the chester county area. We always come a few days before the wedding to enjoy the sights we love the Lancaster area
And are looking for some recommendations on some new things to see.

our last visit we had similar time frame we did kitchen kettle, shady maple, the outlets drove around some amish farms got treats and made a stop to hershey factory.

What are some other things in the area we don't know about that's worth checking out
Are there any other Amish restaurants you would recommend over shady maple? any antique shops or flee markets discount food outlets stuff we can bring back in bulk I'm a hobby baker and always looking for baking stuff

Any other attractions besides the kitchen kettle

any hands on experiences like visiting a factory or a local chocolate shop tour other than Hershey

any shopping areas besides the outlets kop and exton square mall any local women's boutiques that have plus sizes?

we will have a full day and a half to sightsee i know my other half is planning to go golfing with some of my local family members and that will leave me a few hours to do something on my own.

We don't need to worry about transportation as we will have our car with us

we are both in our early to mid 40s no children but are kids at heart

we are staying in the chester county area and willing to drive about an hour or so from the downingtown area

In Lancaster City, there's Wheatland, the home of Pennsylvania's only President, James Buchanan. The Pennsylvania College of Art and Design is also located there and has a gallery where student exhibits are displayed. And you should also visit Central Market, right off the central intersection (Penn Square, King and Queen streets); it's the oldest farmers' market in the country. Some of its vendors sell prepared foods as well, though I think most of the prepared-foods vendors are not Amish (most of the produce vendors are).

In the county, Lititz, north of the city, is an antique lover's Valhalla, and nearby (8 miles east) is the historic Ephrata Cloister in the town of the same name.

Wilbur Chocolate Company has a plant in Lititz, but IDK if it offers tours. There is a museum of vintage chocolate-making equipment attached to the company's retail store there. Wilbur Buds, btw, predate Hershey's Kisses.

You might also want to visit the Pagoda in Reading, which sits near the top of a mountain overlooking the city. I don't think you can go inside, but it's a fascinating building. The off-price outlets that made Reading a bargain-hunter's Mecca have all closed, though.
