First thing we did when we moved outside the city was to get a realtor. Tell them what your looking for. It took us a year to find our new home

Sorry about the delay I don't get on this forum all that often.
First as far as a realtor ,Go local,I mean where you want to live .
Tell them what you want.Us we wanted fire places,a deck, central air,and most of all seclusion with trees. We now live a section called Neshaminy Woods, we got what we wanted. We are very happy. But it did take a year. It might have happened sooner if we had a better realtor. He was new and showed us everything but what we wanted.Get back to me and let know how you make out. Good Luck

Default Glenside

If you can get over needing something new, then Glenside is the place for you. You could easily afford a very nice single home. Glenside is very affordable and has a nice little downtown area, yet it also very close to the Northeast, and it is actually in Abington (although it spreads into Cheltenham as well). Just make sure you are technically in Abington so your son will get to go to Abington H.S. instead of Cheltenham H.S. (assuming he goes to public school). Those areas you mentioned in Bucks County are all great too, but I doubt you will be able to afford much - if anything - in those areas with your price limit. Bensalem would also be a possibility, although I find that area a bit cruddy, and the schools would be a big step down from Abington.
