Where do most college students live if they don't live in the dorms?

Perhaps specifically to Penn/Drexel, and Temple?

I'm thinking about going to grad school at one of these unis, so just curious.

Temple grad students likely live in Center City and commute up to school via the Broad Street Subway.

Penn and Drexel grad students often live right there in University City - albeit a bit further out than the undergrads (maybe beyond 43rd or 44th Sts.) - or the western end of Center City.

I lived in South Philly when I was a grad student @ Temple - easy commute and cheaper than CC.

there were also a lot of grad students for penn/drexel around the art museum and down the parkway - easy to get to campus, but also a little more removed from some of the collegiate undergrad stuff

I know Temple grad students who live in South Philly. Quick commute on the Broad Street Line or buses.

west philly, and don't be afraid to go out to 45th to 48th streets to avoid the undergrads. Clark Park is a wonderful area with a farmer's market, independent cafe and lots of grad students. I lived there last year. Easy to get to UPenn or Drexel.

Baltimore Avenue is a great area with lots of grad students around, between 38th and 50th. Cedar park is a beautiful neighborhood to check out.
