Well, that all depends where you live in University City. If you are on Penn's campus, going to the University train stop makes sense. If you live out around 44th street, catching a trolley, which stops at 30th st makes more sense.

I live in Maryland and work in Philly, where I Met the Greatest Taximen ever 3years ago!!!! And still now I am his regular.... he is available from 6pm to 5Am if u call him 15 to 30mn before!
what I suggest is if u catch one everyday just become their reg, and u get a flat rate ) or if interested call my "dreadcab 215 758 7524

At rush hour it would take 30-35 minutes to get to the airport. The R1 takes about 18-20 minutes (depending on your terminal).

Anyway, if you stand on any busy street corner with a suitcase and wave your hand in the air you'll have taxis coming out of the sky to get your fare.
