Born and raised in Miami---lived other places, too, but moved here six years ago.

I've actually met a LOT of people from Miami. People here tend to be surprised with the move but as you know living in Miami versus the tourist version is a totally different thing.

I like going back to visit (and will be a Dolphins fan forever) but Miami has just become too big and chaotic for me. Philly just feels a lot smaller and more manageable to me, albeit not perfect, either.

I left Miami a few months ago and have never looked back. I don't live in Philly though. I'm just making a point that so-called paradise isn't all it's cracked up to be and I certainly don't miss the chaos, nor do I miss the lack of seasons.

Philly feels smaller.. that's hilarious.

Coming from Miami to Philadelphia is kind of a slap in the face... Warm and Hispanic to Cold and American. The houses are different, the downtowns are day and night... the people are fickle vs. fat.

I know both cities very well, and I would pick Miami over Philadelphia. I'd rather be on rte. 1 in Kendall for an hour than the Schuylkill in Conshy for an hour.

On another note, I'd really miss Center City.

The reason I can't move back to Miami has to do with my insurance career, lack of a good transportation system, and how far it is from family.

If not for those three, I'd live in Miami anytime. Philly is an awesome city, though, if you can block out the bad aspects (which is really difficult.)
