Mayor announced that PHX has been selected as the home for a health supercomputer initiative. It will be located downtown and the mayor says it will result in "thousands" of biotech jobs. It remains to be seen if anything will come of it or any jobs at all - history is filled with a lot of downtown blockbuster deals that never seem to materialzie. If it does, it is a major win for the Valley.

Damn. More jobs that don't apply to me! Oh well, I can't complain. Jobs are jobs and potentially 1000+ jobs is great for the area and local economy. Especially if these jobs bring people here or upgrade salaries of locals.
