Newer cars, SUVs in driveway and kids outside playing and riding bikes around. It was all built in the boom, mostly with HOAs that keep up the common areas. You see graffiti from time to time but it gets painted over. There are new strip malls and schools nearby. It seems to be more Hispanic than most areas, but not entirely. Probably a mix. It was clobbered during the housing bust so there are many rentals and foreclosures. Definitely worth a look at least. But keep in mind that you are not going to buy in the best areas at $40 or less/square foot. Even there, it cost twice that to build those houses.

Yeah..we're definitely looking for a "deal" for now
I was expecting we'd be in an HOA, and I thought as long as the house is fairly large and we get it for 80-90k , how much more could it depreciate, if it's not in too bad of a neighborhood
Thank you Ponderosa (and everyone) I will keep you updated and probably be back if I narrow down some more areas/ houses

I was expecting we'd be in an HOA, and I thought as long as the house is fairly large and we get it for 80-90k , how much more could it depreciate, if it's not in too bad of a neighborhood
