Yep, that's right...crap. I've searched the Phoenix forum for rodent problems etc. I did find one, only one, thread that was a little helpful. Just today we discovered little black pellet type things about a half inch long on our garage floor near the door, next to our recycling bin. I'm from the midwest and they look like mouse poop. According to that other thread it could be crickets (???) or lizard poop. We've been keeping our garage door open during the day for the past few days and only today did we discover them......PLEASE TELL ME IT'S NOT RAT POOP. Thanks in advance if you can help. There aren't a whole lot, but there are enough that it creeps me out. I thought I saw a little scorpian on my living room floor about three weeks ago. Still not so sure if I was just sort of 'seeing things'. It was about 2 a.m.

According to that website, they have longer tails.

I went to that website.....It scares the you-know-what out of me. I am, as most people are, totally creeped out by rats...What is the possibility of it being lizards? We've seen a few lizards on our house.

We had our garage open recently during our move and painting a few days later, and there now are a big ol beetle/palmetto thingy and a small scorpion. It seems that leaving your garage open here may not be the best idea?

This is what I found when I googled "roof rat poop". (I know!) Honestly, it looked more like the mouse stuff.

It's not rodent poop. The little black things you're talking about have been in almost every garage I've seen, and I believe they're from insects..

Don't worry about it You'd hear if you had mice or rats. <squeak>
