We want to convert the front yard of our home in NW Mesa (near University between Alma School & Country Club) to desert landscaping and could use a load of fill dirt -- not fancy topsoil, but not junk fill either. Two possible suppliers might be A&A Materials in Scottsdale on E McDowell near Dobson or Pioneer in Gilbert. Do any of you know of other supplier or have had experience getting dirt or working with these companies?

Also, do you have any experience buying native desert plants from any local nurseries and have a sense of who specializes in these?

I'd call a pool builder. If they are building a pool not too far from your place, they will bring the dirt to your place for free or so I've been told.

Default Thanks!

Now that's a great idea -- certainly worth a try!
