Hi. I am considering a move to the Phoenix/Greater Phoenix area possibly Scottsdale for various reasons, but was curious as to whether there are any Live venues that weekly feature traditional Country Music and dancing like dance halls or Honky-Tonks etc.?

And to whether the area is a good climate for a working musician and has a quality musical culture for Live Bands etc.?

Thanks for any info and please ask any questions.

The only "country bar" I know of is Whiskey River Saloon is a nightclub in Phoenix, AZ that plays a variety of music including country western, top 4o, hip hop, and dance music by DJs and live bands and they do line dancing and occasional live bands. The link above shows their listings.

There's everything from glitzy country night clubs to honky tonks all over the area. Here's some of the night clubs:

Another question: Are there any local radio stations that play strictly classic or traditional style country music or are all the stations Top 40, modern country? Thanks.
