So I thought it would be fun to start a thread were people recommend the "best of".

This is the place where you can say:

_________ has the absolute BEST _________.
or
If you're looking for ____________ you have got to check out ___________.

Not a place for debates, but just to share the places and things you love in the city.

Doesn't have to be food either. Favorite treasure hunting spots, favorite spot to see sunset/sunrise, most helpful staff at whatever kind of store, etc.

I like this, the link is good but sometimes I like to hear a person's personal opinion, may get some different ideas.

Best Italian food: Appian Way in Fountain Hills ... which is a considerable distance from most locations. However, the authentic Italian food they serve is top notch, and definitely worth the drive. There are lots of other Italian restaurants around, but very few which have that unique authentic flavor.

Best restaurant with a view: a tie between Compass Room on top of the downtown Hyatt, and Different Pointe of View on top of the hill at the Pointe Resort on 7th Street. These two places are perfect places to go at night to view the city lights.

If you want a friendly smile and chat with your coffee; visit Rhino Caffe in Queen Creek.

I've heard about that FH place before. Must make a trip out there sometime.

Rustler's Rooste should be included in the restaurant with a view category. The Compass Room is hard to beat based strictly on the view, given the 360 degree aspect, but I haven't eaten there in decades, have no idea about the food.
