Try drinking a lot of water to keep your body hydrated. Especially during the hot months. You have to drink more water than you think you need. When you get thirsty, you are already dehydrated.

When I moved here 4 years ago, I learned that very fast. I did not drink enough water, and I worked in my yard during the heat. After a couple of days I got heat exhaustion. Since that happened, and I learned to keep hydrated, I've never had any problems with dry skin.

A humidifier in the home will help, and as an alternative, a few decorator pitchers of water scattered throughout the home will help until you get a humidifier.
