Hi Guys. Any input on the best bang-for-your-buck lunch specials in Central Phoenix?

I would recommend Humble Pie, except I just ate there, and looking something new.

Ended up going to the Habit Burger Grill on McDowell & 7th ave. It was really tasty, an affordable! I'll definitely be back. Feel free to chime in with other great spots!

If I remember correctly, Hard Rock Cafe offers some specials on lunch items. Another one is Majerle's Sports Grill, which offers mostly bar type food, but it's extremely reasonable in price. Also, when I used to work downtown, I recall a sandwich shop on Monroe Street, which I believe was called Coney Island. Not sure if they are even in business anymore. But pretty much any eatery downtown will have some good lunch specials. Just a reminder that anywhere downtown during the lunch rush is going to be crowded.

yea, I tried that Coney Island mistakenly assuming it was similar to the Coney Island restaurants backs east, boy was I wrong! Taco meat on a hot-dog is NOT a Coney Dog, lol.

The Downtown Deli is AWESOME, but pricey. I try to only eat there a once in awhile.

The little pizza joint in Collier Center has a $5.00 slice of pizza, salad and a drink special. Tasty pizza, good salad.

Mrs. White's Golden Rule. Huge plates of the best soul food around.

And I second Carolina's for Mexican food at 12th St & Mohave. Fortunately we have one at Peoria and about 91st Avenue now. Take home a package of those hand made flour tortillas.

Oh, oh La Tolteca at 12th St & Van Buren. Their green chili burro is to die for.
