February was so warm and dry we broke mulitple records.

The only February that was hotter was in 1991, which I believe was also the same year we hit the all time high of 122!!!

Last month was historically warm and dry by almost every measure used:

■ February 2015 made second on the all-time lists for warmest high temperatures and average temperatures.

■ It topped the list for warmest low temperatures.

■ The month was 15th on the list of driest Februaries, with only .01 inches of rain recorded.

The only February that was hotter was in 1991, which I believe was also the same year we hit the al time high of 122!!!
Last month was second warmest February for Phoenix

122 was 1990. I remember it well. I played in a volleyball tournament that night. It was still 118. Anyhow with all that warm and dry, the only time it was cold and rainy was for Super Bowl!

I believe if you ask most people in our country who have been enduring a brutal winter, I think that's where you'll find the definition of weather "we didn't need" part of your post title. I bet most people in this country would have loved to be in our Feb weather, even enjoying time here on a few of our "cold" days.

Yes, it is cold outside AZ. NM was cold...
But driving past Flagstaff, I have never seen it as dry. And that might be a problem....... It is just plain brown everywhere. On the other hand, along I 8 where all the cactus are, it was very green.
But eventual the rain will come, plus, all time is relative of course, I don't think the native kept records the last few 1000 years.

West of Eloy along I 8.

Me too--I was driving a black truck with no A/C (I'd just moved here), and was out looking for work.

That was a dilly of a day!
