Yeah, we missed out on the blue moon thing. I swear, every time there's a big astronomical to-do, we miss it because of clouds. Its like a bad joke. haha We're usually cloud-free the majority of the year, except when theres something cool to look at.

As for the rain, I watched the big storm roll up from the south, lightning and all, but all we got was a minute or two of light sprinkles, then NOTHING.

More rain coming down right now. Not much, but the winds are howling and the dust is getting pretty thick. Weird to see a morning dust storm!

This is the weirdest monsoon I can remember since living here. Two muggy days followed by a week straight of June, then repeat. Even the storms that came were due more to unseasonable things like hurricanes than typical monsoon circulation. Maybe it is El Nino.

Last year I think the worst weather we got this time of year wasn't even monsoon related, it was remnants of a couple of hurricanes. (though the news people kept calling it monsoon weather, even though it wasn't)

It's been hot and dry this year. Last year I had good oranges and this year they are all burned and shriveled. The creosotes on the mountain behind me are all brown and withered. Even the cactus looks half dead. My plants look like I feel. So sick of summer.

Looks like the "nonsoon" is finally starting to kick up a bit. Nice little dust storm this morning, and a couple drops of rain. With some luck, maybe a wayward hurricane will make its way north and make this a better than average monsoon.

I like your thinking Renegade Lets hope so!!!

My work office off of Chandler Blvd and Gilbert Rd. Lost power in the dust storm. I was smoking out front as the storm hit. I walked to my office and all lights were on. As soon as I went to start writing proposals on my comp power died. So I got to work from HOME today, aside from one drive into Phx!!! I'm patting myself on the back for moving all office files to Dropbox and giving myself access from my home comp a couple years ago.

Nothing better than send an estimate, do dishes. After dishes bill some projects than clean a bathroom. I'm having a relaxing evening now.
