Morons. They only believe in freedom of speech when it is what they want to say. They are spoiled brats. They will be surprised one day when it is their very own speech that is stomped out. When you advocate absolute gov control be prepared to be controlled.

Fine job there, Bernie supporters.

Of course the paid protestor element might come into play here to a certain degree, protesting for a livin' kind of thing. Sigh.
It's the same mentality that has become common on college campuses, where conservative speakers (or even non-conservative speakers whose views have fallen afoul of a new orthodoxy) are shouted down, threatened with violence, and accused of racisim/homophobia/nativism and, it is argued, should be denied a chance to speak because, feelings.

It is part of the new progressive belief (which differs greatly from classical liberalism) that is you disagree with them, you are not simply wrong, or ignorant, or mistaken...you are morally evil, and evil has no right to exist, or to be heard.

Plus, protesters get to virtue-signal to their friends about what great people they are.

We're seeing this bleed over from the campus environment onto the political stage now. Many Americans who were not aware this was a thing, are going to be thinking about it when they vote.

While I definitely defend the right to free speech, this is going way too far. Blocking a major thoroughfare goes beyond the limits of the First Amendment ... in fact, it's absolutely criminal what these protesters are doing! They're not only blocking people who are going to hear Donald Trump speak, they're impeding the general traffic flow on the only major road in and out of Fountain Hills. Many people use Shea Boulevard to as a route to the Beeline Highway ... but now they have to somehow find an alternate route thanks to these idiots who have nothing better to do with their time. I hope the police arrest every one of them!
These people are so clueless and classless that I dont even know what to say. All I know is that these beligerent nutjobs are shooting themselves in the foot each time they act up and carry on like children. It would be best for them to just shut their mouths (or at least act civil)!

That mentality will get you 3 things: 1) arrested for disrupting traffic, 2) punched in the face by people who are tired of your whiny ****e, or 3) people so angry at your stupid protest that they will likely NOT vote for your candidate because who wants to be associated with a bunch of thugs like them?

Think, McFly, think!

Wouldn't Bernie supporters just assume someone else would protest for them? Just wondering.

If protesters did not get in people's faces during an emotionally charged event and insult them personally, I doubt you would see any violence.

The democrat who got punched in Tucson and his girlfriend were both wearing Ku Klux Klan hoods and giving the Nazi salute to the crowd. That's pretty offensive. He pulled off his hood as he was escorted out by security, but held up a sign showing Trump wrapped in the confederate flag. His girlfriend kept her KKK hood on and followed him, continuing to "Sieg Heil" the crowd. A black man punched him out and kicked him. He then immediately allowed himself to be arrested without resisting. The woman pulled off her hood, maybe because she was worried that he would punch her next and thought that he wouldn't if he knew she was a girl.

Maybe the cognitive dissonance of wearing KKK hoods and then being K.O.ed by an angry black man for their views might have caused some brain paralysis for her as well.

(Yes, I know that the KKK was originally started by the Democratic party to attack Republicans as well as Blacks, Catholics, and Jews, but you'd think Democrats would have stopped continuing to hood up to stop people from voting they way they want in the 21st century. Phoenix was supposed to have ended its history with the Klan in the 1920s, when they became an embarrassment to their own party.)

Should he have punched him out? No, but wearing a KKK hood in front of someone whose people have historically suffered from their terrorism was an act of stupidity that was at least as bad. Claiming that it was only "satire" or cosplay isn't really an excuse, and was probably the equivalent of shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater to any Black, Catholic, or Jewish members of the audience (and not a few Republicans.)

If another Klansman had shown up in his robes to a Sanders rally and a black man had punched him out, they would probably declare him a national hero.
