Just wanted to say that I'm getting out of the Marine Corps in October and I'm moving back to Phx!! WOOHOO!!... I wasn't stationed really far (Yuma), but right now I'm on a Navy boat off in the Pacific Ocean... They say we're coming back in early July. I hope so, it's taking too long!... Then I'm getting out and plan to become a Phx Cop.... Five years in the Marine Corps is good for me, I wanna be home and with my family, doing a job I enjoy!

Welcome back, Devil Dog!

Good luck on getting on the PHX force. When I was in seps class in Yuma, the PHX PD sent a recruiter down to talk to us.

Their PFT requirement makes you bench press 95% of your body weight, so I hope you've been laying off the chow on the boat and hitting the weight room instead!

The bench press is no longer used. Now they do push-ups... Their physical agility test is push-ups, sit-ups, and 1.5 mile run...so it shouldn't be that hard...

That may be a possibility... I'll have to talk to the Police Recruiter's more when I get back... The Phx PD had an ad in one of the magazine's I saw in Iwakuni Japan, so I called them and found out a little...
