Finally, an In-N-Out is coming to inner city Phoenix, about time.

It always bugged me after I moved to the city, that I no longer had easy access to In-N-Out Burger with the closest two to the inner city being the Tempe Location (Scottsdale Rd&202) or the Metrocenter Location (I-17&Peoria Ave). Both are like 10 miles from midtown.

But my fiance told me today that at the Fry's plaza at 20th St&Highland Ave, there is a sign that says In-N-Out coming soon Great success 👍

Good. I will never go to this one, but hopefully the drive thru line at metrocenter will be less than 10 cars every time I go.

Habit Burger is a better drive thru burger IMO and they have one in central phoenix (also Tempe and Chandler as far as I know and I saw one under construction in Gilbert). Now if we could only land Tommy's Burgers...

Not likely, I doubt people are going THAT far for In-N-Out. Same thing with Chick-Fil-A. They're building a new one right next to my house, this time with two drive thru lanes. This is the area I go to pick up lunch since I work out of my home. The problem is it's right across from Hamilton High, the largest HS in the state so I have a feeling I won't be getting chicken sandwiches on my lunch break very often. Well there is a Wendy's right next door with a decent spicy chicken sandwich

I just had Tommy's last week (went to the one at Roscoe and the 405 in Van Nuys). That will be one of the best parts of moving to SoCal, regular access to Original Tommy's

Why not? that's only about 8 miles. Half way would be 4 miles. I go a lot farther than that if I'm in the mood for something specific. Heck, I'm in Glendale, and I get the random craving for Portillo's in Tempe about once a month. In-N-Out is open till after midnight too. I don't even need a stomach full of beer to want a triple double with no spread, no onions, with ketchup & mustard, and a French fry at 1 in the morning.

Just don't count on the line going down. there's several of them in the East Valley, they open a new one and they're all still crazy busy. I'll rarely wait that long for "fast" food if I want a burger though, especially since there are walk in options such as five guys, smashburger and fatburger nearby.

I hope this is true. A few years ago I sent them an e-mail asking if they had any plans to expand to central Phoenix or downtown. Someone actually responded, a mere 45 minutes after it was sent, and stated In-N-Out was always on the look out for property and wanted to know if I had any ideas. Classy folks. They really care about their customers.

I had suggested locations in the inner city to them on their facebook page 3 years ago, and they responded to me as well. This one is listed on their website as opening soon as well as the sign my fiance saw

high-density, fairly upscale neighborhood.....no other branch for miles around....the place will be packed!.....

though some pooh-pooh the cult-following that In N Out has, it can't be disputed that the privately-owned company (no shareholders to please) takes care of its employees and runs a great operation....compared to the sullen, unhappy employees at McDonald's and other multi-national corporate chains, it just feels good when you walk into an In N Out and the employees seem glad to be there....simple menu that never changes.....quality food.....measured expansion
