Does anyone here have a diabetic cat, and a vet you'd recommend? My cat's current vet is excellent but not really all that experienced in treating diabetic cats. If I move, we'll need a local vet, and if I don't move, I'm still willing to make the drive down if it means my cat gets a vet that understands and knows how to treat feline diabetes. I already travel to PHX regularly for biz and the cats often travel with me so it won't be anything new for them.

I've got a diabetic dog. I take him to see Jonathan Schnier, an internist, at VetMedAZ, a 24-hour specialty/ER facility on the 101 at Cave Creek. He's in Tuesday-Friday. Their number is 602-697-4694 vetmedaz.com
Good luck.

You can check with Scaredy Cat Hospital in Scottsdale, that's where I took my cats when I lived out there. They are cat-specific, so I would imagine they would treat everything including diabetes. The Scaredy Cat Hospital - Scottsdale, AZ - Home
