Ha! This made me smile. You are right on, Ponderosa. Although I must confess I never liked high humidity anyway.

Wasn't this afternoon Gorgeous? I got home from work and sat out on my patio for a couple hours drinking a chilled beverage and enjoying the light breeze. Almost dozed off on the patio swing.

its like heaven out here now, 75 degrees, almost zero humidity, great breeze, I fell asleep sitting on my patio awhile ago; I'm embarrassed to say it, but I was actually a bit chilly outside in shorts and t shirt, and I am a Midwesterner..

...no wonder everyone in the world wants to be here from October until may

You're really asking that question? The answer is 0%. 100 degrees at midnight, when the humidity has risen to 50%, is not at all uncommon July and August.

The air today was filthy. The weather service discussion said it was dust from the California deserts. As if we don't have enough dust of our own!

Obviously I really did ask that question. I was here in mid June for a 10 days. It was hot but child's-play. I was here 4 days in mid July. Again, hotter but not a big deal. So your 0% answer is obviously wrong. There are people who see a forecast of 98 degrees and think CRAP, that's hot. Well, it's not and I was asking peoples subjective opinion on how bad it feels and how often. Hence, I was asking others who have a better grasp of statistics on a site called "City-Data".

It might be as high as 10% lol, we always have a couple days of cooler weather each month.
  • May was pretty nice had about 12 days above 100 but quite a few in the 70's and 80's.
  • June is always hot, but we had a few nice days and it was still dry, mid 90's or so in the day 70-75 for the low.
  • July had a few in the 90's too, it's more humid by then but I recall hitting the trails on a few cloudy, cooler mornings and the break was welcomed of course.
  • August had a few in the 90s as well, 3 I think.
  • For the summer months I think we had 24 days above 110 versus an average of 19 (based on 1981-2010 data).
  • By mid-Sept we had a nice stretch from 9/15 on we've only had 1 day peak at exactly 100, no other triple digit temps since then. We've been using window fans at night since roughly that time, a nice break on the electric bill.

Thanks for the feedback. I looked. I was here shorter than I thought. I arrived early July 18th and left late on 20th. It was 103, 102, 103. The overnight lows were in the low 80's. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/ph...weather/346935 Also, I was in Surprise which has less of a heat island effect.

It definitely felt hotter when I was here in July than the mid to upper 90's but not blazing hot. So "100 degrees at midnight" as someone else suggested was inaccurate. In fact, the hottest temp in July, 2017 was 107 (per my link) and the lows were in the low to mid 80's all month long. Unless of course, July 2017 was an outlier (a cool month).
