Whats up people!
Currently living in Pa and Im looking to relocate somewhere out west so my fiance can be closer to her family. So far just looking and reading online Phoenix looks like somewhere id like to visit and see if I could see myself potentially living there. One of the main factors would be if i could stick with my current profession of running a used car dealership. Is any one familiar with this business in the phoenix area? If so how are the sales and auction prices. Lot rental prices etc?

First off, come visit here in summer when its 118 degrees out. We always here "ooh, it looks like a great place to visit", and people visit (in winter), move here, then leave after 5 years because the heat is intense and lasts a long time. Start there.

I only buy used cars (minus an occasional new one every once in a blue moon). The market here is oversaturated with used car lots. Its ridiculous. You cant drive 5 blocks without seeing one, I swear. Most are shady pieces of junk, so if you can establish one that is nice and reputable, you might do ok.

Many reps to BIG CATS on this one! You definitely need to come see us in July or August to really gauge if you can handle our heat. Also, to reiterate, used car lots are plentiful here with many being very shady, at best. The best thing you can do is get out here to see for yourself.

Yep, I tried to move to Phoenix from Alaska. Didn't even make it through the first month of summer. Packed up and got out quick. Never been back. Not even to visit.

Welcome to the forum Dsmitty3

If you can pass the above mentioned weather test, consider about
a position with a dealer until you get a feel for the market here

I have a friend that has a small car dealership and does well. I would be happy to put you in touch with them?
