I take no chances. My allergies have gotten progressively worse every year since I have lived here. Just a couple of weeks ago I was miserable and sick for several days due to ragweed, something that I was never bothered by before. There's also issues with dust, which is always present. I suffer year round.

Windows/doors open probably until around Christmas where they will get closed overnight until about Feb. No heat on ever though, just a waste of money. They make blankets, socks, etc. in case you get cold but most of the time that isn't needed.

This year has been really good for solar production, compared to last I'm up about 5%. If I had electric heat this would be the year to use it but we have gas heat.

This is the most comfortable night for me, no heater.

I never use the heater. My feet have horrid circulation so sometimes I have to wear microfiber socks and furry slippers when I walk around, and wear those socks to bed, but for the most part I do ok. I like to use my blankets.

FYI, we just turned our heat on today. I was very cold this morning, and this comes from a guy who wears pink pajama pants to sleep at night.

I don't get the "I don't need heat" thing. If I am cold, I turn on my heat. Under 66 in the house is cold. If I didn't set the heat at 66 overnight who knows how low the temp would go. An all tile house is like a cave this time of year, it can even feel chilly if the inside temp is 70 and it's sunny and warm outside.

Anyway, if I am cold, I turn on the heat. If I am hot I turn on the AC. That is what they are for.

I don't usually use heat because my house stays pretty warm. It's stayed around 75-77 inside. My house is really sealed up. Right now it's 46 outside but it's 75 in my house without the use of a heater.

That makes sense, you definitely don't need it!

Live in a loft with 19ft ceilings/windows along with other windows. It gets cold real quick even if we close the doors. It gets hot real quick as well if it's sunny, no matter the temp. So for the past month we have been keeping up with the door opening/closing and only use heat overnight to prevent us from waking up to possibly 60 degrees.
