I saw where ADOT has postponed rubberized paving on I10 this weekend because it is too cold! It's March in May. I was cleaning the pool after the windstorm this morning and it did not seem all that bad, though.

Nonsense. I swim early morning and in the evening during the summer months.

82 is still chilly when it's only 82 outside! I did get in mine for a bit today, the water temp was 78. Cold. Perfect temp to me is 85-86

My ideal pool temp is 86°+ too, but 82° is better than not heated at all you have to admit

Still cold lol. Only 4 degrees warmer than what I endured today. I spent most of it on a floatie.

I'll take that extra 4 degrees. He's right, it's still better than no heating at all.

it is better than nothing but worth the cost to heat the water as it is not THAT drastic of a difference.

Thank you for all the replies everyone. So when looking at houses there are some really nice new builds in places like Peoria that have a decent sized yard but with no pool. That being said, and based on your experience, what is the average cost of a decent sized pool in Phoenix?

It is so hot on some days in summer that my backyard pool is the only thing I can depend on to feel better. I have AC in my house and car and both work well. Somehow the pool works the best. Actually I like the pool temperature in summer because it is not ‘too cold. Who says the pool is unswimmable in summer? It is in winter, unless you have a heated pool.
