Please share your views on the area. Is it considered safe? (Area around 7th Street and Peoria St.) Would you say it's a mix of good and bad like most places, etc.? I don't know that much about the area. Thanks.

Sunnyslope, especially north of Dunlap, is one of the poorer areas in the valley. Poor areas are generally associated with higher crime. It isn't an area I would be after dark and I spent my highschool years there, graduated from Sunnyslope HS in 2003.

Close to North Mountain and Phoenix Mountains. HonorHealth Medical Group is there. Not enough trees. The kind of place with a Popeye's Chicken.

That’s a really ignorant comment. There are Popeye’s locations in two very nice areas of Scottsdale. What did you really mean?

That area is safe, there are some very nice apartments and condos there, close to hiking trails, and very easy to access shopping in all directions. Just a short drive to the 7th St corridor with all kinds of great restaurants, etc. not far from all of the amenities of Bell Ave, and easy access to the 51 freeway and a quick drive to the airport. Sunnyslope is on the upswing. Lots of homes are being flipped, etc.

Really? Have you driven up the hill on Hatcher Rd all the way east, for example? There are million dollar homes up there! (I think the official boundary of Sunnyslope ends at like 17th Street which is pretty much the mountain) West of 7th Ave toward I-17, it gets a bit sketchy, but you'll see a Ferrari parked at the Fry's now and then as there's some money on the east side.

Historically crime ridden. Huge with the biker population. Ripe for gentrification but not happening. Great location.

Right. I'm sure he was thinking of Church's Chicken.

It seems to be a mix. South of Dunlap are some really really nice homes. Hatcher between 19th Ave and 7th St. is poorer. East of 7th street there are some nice homes tucked up in those hills that have awesome views of the valley.

Agreed. Some flippers or developers need to come in and give that area north of Hatcher a big makeover. Open a few restaurants, maybe an art gallery, revamp a lot of the homes and it would add some much need to culture a city that, IMO is sorely lacking in that regard.
