Greetings all! Considering a move to the Phoenix area from the East Coast, mostly looking at newer homes north of 101 in Cave Creek, Anthem & New River area.

I'm interested in hearing about the pros and cons of my water choices. Some homes rely on city water while others have either a shared well or rely on hauled water. I've never lived anywhere that didn't rely on the city for water, so interested in hearing about others' personal experiences in the area with the different options.

What if I have issues with the well? What if the water hauling company goes out of business? Should I be concerned about these things?

Thanks in advance for your comments and recommendations!

A shared well or a hauled water option would be last on my list, and would disqualify all but the most unique, "ringing all the bells" home. After living in both extremes, I refuse to live where there is an over abundance, or a lack of water.

Stick with city water if at all possible. Even up in Anthem (on the East side) they rely on private water. Not bad, just more expensive. I wouldn't even bother with a well - seems like a nightmare to me.
