Hi all,

Just curious if this stucco crack is anything worrisome or I can caulk and fill it in? Most my other cracks are hairline thin. Thank you

Is your home new? can be just settling. I'm not a contractor, but one once told me if you can fit a quarter inside a crack, also cracks that run horizontal at the base of your home, then you should get it checked out... .

Stucco is a cosmetic finish and not typically reflective of the health of the supporting foundation.

Cracks are openings where bugs and moisture can get in.

Those are superficial shrinking cracks. Stucco is concrete. Concrete shrinks when it dries. Concrete cracks when it shrinks. As poster above said, stucco is not a structural element in your house, either. If the cracks bother you, you can put some sloppy mortar over them or get some stucco patch at the big box. Warning though. Patches are usually more noticeable at a distance than the small cracks.

I have cracks all over my house. I sneeze and create a new crack.
