Planning a potential trip to Scottsale this fall for a few days (likely October), with 2 teenagers. Not planning to do much other than relaxation, maybe a few other things in the area. Really really like the vibe of the Valley Ho (teenagers are into MCM designs, retro things, and simplicity). However, the Valley Ho seems like party central, and I'd like to avoid that. Any other suggestions as to where to stay? It's a tough one because when I mention travel with kids most of the recommendations are for water parks, or arcades, which are OK but we'd prefer something a bit more laid back (so to speak).

Is October a good time to visit?

Have you checked out Bespoke Inn?

https://bespokeinnscottsdale.com/

Assuming you are wanting to stay near Old Town? Most of those pools are going to be pretty active/party type scene. The big one is the W from what I understand. A lot of those downtown hotels participate in the ResortPass program that allows people to use the resort amenities without actually having to stay there. If you don't mind driving to stuff, have you looked at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch?

Thanks! Not looked at anything as of yet, looking for suggestions. Not knowing where to stay -- so open to suggestions there also. Old Town seems like a good mix of things to do, restaurants, etc. Trying to avoid driving -- looking more for somewhere to just fly in for a few days, uber it to a nice place to stay with restaurants nearby, and park it.
Prefer place that ISN't pet friendly, and not geared toward couples (traveling with 2 teenagers)

Maybe the Biltmore, the Phoenician, or the Hyatt Gainey Ranch.
