Just wondering if anybody has recently purchased in Anthem Merrill Ranch and if so how do they like it. I understand the distance from the Metro Area and the fact that it is not close to anything. I just wanted to hear from somebody that actually lives there and may be raising there family away from the hustle and bustle of the City.

Thank You

We love it here... The commute sucks...I work in Scottsdale. =( We are raising our kids and the atmosphere here is excellent! My son had 4 D's and 2 C's going to school in Tempe and his last reportcard here.... 4 A's and 2 B's! The difference is the community and the way it takes time for the kids. In Tempe there were too many kids and too many stressed out teachers to care about them. My kids have more friends then ever and I feel a piece of mind knowing that they are not in a hurry to grow up!

Moved here in June, 08. If you can bear up to a commute into Phoenix over the long haul, I think you would love it here. My wife and I say it is like living at a resort. Everything you need for everyday living (groceries, etc) is within 10 miles (Florence, Coolidge, up Hunt Highway). Most other needs (any of the big box stores, etc) can be had in Casa Grande or Queen Creek (20-30 miles). For many Special Events, you'll have to go into metro Phoenix (60 miles or farther).

They are going to begin construction soon (I'm told) on a hospital and a Super Target near the entrance. When the economy turns around again (we hope) I would bet that there will be a lot of additional businesses building out here.

Thank you for responding to my post. We actually did end up purchasing a home in Anthem Merrill Ranch a few ago. I had heard about the Hospital, but not the Super Target. A Super Target would be great though I can just walk around in there and not even buy anything. Thank you for your positive response.
