Phoenix area shopping malls, and video arcades!
Especially early Metrocenter, PV mall (when the fountains were @ the north entrance),
Superfun and Golf n Stuff.

Any help would be apreciated.

Remember too that the Light Rail ends (starts) at Christown---------which may help rejuvenate the whole Central corridor

Awesome pics! I remember "The Alley" well and I even remember when they got rid of it as I was the one who painted the barricades during the remodel.

Hope this works...it's scanned from the negative. The improvement in the image quality from the scanned negative over the prints I got at One Hour Photo is astounding!
I hope you like it. I have many more taken between March 1983 and January 1987 and I'll post more as time allows.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! What is really cool about that one is that during the summer of '86 my friend Dave and I could offten be found there setting the high scores on Gladiator!

Heh! We may have bumped shoulders in there at one time or another! I'll try to post a few more tonite. I even have a couple I took of the inside.

I do remember the Alley! I also remember The Metro Lounge, which had an exterior that was shaped like an airplane (without the wings) with the TWA logo and colors of that era, right across the "Food Court", and the ice skating rink that was below.

This picture was taken in late 1974 on the lower level next to Sears. That's only one of two stores that have been in the mall since its early days in 1973. The other store that's still around is Spencers. Yours truly is on the left in those funny plaid pants... Okay, those were popular back then!
