Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know if Black Canyon City has experienced much growth over the last 5-6 years?

I'm sure it has. I hope you're not considering moving there, though.

I was looking for small towns on the fringes of Phoenix. I'm used to living in a rural area and thought this area may have potential. It doesn't seem too far from N. Phoenix? Just checking all possibilities!

It's just a drug-filled, dumpy town. It's too bad, too. I don't know what's rural anymore. Cities that are rural won't be much longer. You'll have to head farther north. AJ is supposed to be cleaning up their repuation. You might like east Apache Junction or Gold Canyon City. We have a relative with extended family in Globe, and they like it there. I certainly wouldn't choose Globe, but it may be your cup of tea!

Thanks jco. I was afraid of that. It will be a couple of years before we make the move. I hope to visit Phoenix yearly to see the changes. I appreciate your opinion.

Why not? I believe it's a nice town to live in?

Smile black canyon city

Nice town with very nice people. 40 miles from Phoenix and 100 miles from the mountains. Great location. Major shopping areas are only 10 miles away. Liked it so much , I bought a home there.
