You have a job lined up, right? Where are you going to be working?

Scottsdale is a large city, and runs parallel to Phoenix, so you could be anywhere from south/old town up to north/carefree area.

Not sure where you are moving from, but Scottsdale if I recall correctly is nearly 30 miles long (only a few miles wide in most places I believe). If you live at one end and work at the other, that could be an un-neccessarily long commute. The city of Phoenix proper is somewhere around 500 square miles alone-my niece and I both live in Phoenix, and she lives 32 miles from me.

I live up near what I believe is referred to as northern Scottsdale. Generally the top of the 101 freeway where it starts to run east/west. If this is the area you are considering, or anywhere nearby, I know of a few really nice places.

If you give us the general location where you will be working (nearest intersection is fine), it would be much easier to help you avoid a potentially nasty commute. Also, do you have a budget in mind for rent-some communities are pricier than others?

Good luck on your move!

You have a variety of options, if you want to be close you can head west to the tatum and bell area, cheap nice apartments. We rented a condo in the area for $800/month it was a 2/1.5 2 story condo.

No garage, sorry.

If you're looking for a garage the price jumps alot for a condo/townhouse.

Look around on google.com/maps, it has a "for rent" option on the map it will show you listings.

Come out and stay at Extended Stay America (there's one fairly close to the Sctsdl airport) for a month or so while you look. You'll find something that will work.
