I spotted this white peacock on a local playground recently and went back to try to get a few shots. I was really happy to find him again and started shooting right away expecting him to slink off like the others do. Turned out he walked all the way across the playground to come check me out, so close that it was hard to get pictures and the main challenge was ensuring he didn't peck the camera...he was fascinated by it. Lucky for the Nikon here was a fence between us (see the last picture).
well done on the last shot ! im glad he didnt get your eyes !!! great focus on the face. I was assaulted by a sandhill not long ago, so I know the worry some of the birds put in our minds, peacocks are not shy and will spur you if given the chance.

Thanks so much OMW! I laughed when I read you reference to sandhill cranes....I wear safety goggles when I am cleaning the sandhill enclosure where I volunteer. There is a young SHC n there that is soooo curious and follows me around and pokes at everything. I figure better safe than sorry! One of the deer at the other place I volunteer is missing an eye thanks to a SHC.....
