I bought my Nikon D3200 refurbished a few years ago. I was a beginner and I wanted something that was an upgrade to my iPhone. Anyway, I first notice this issue when I was on a vacation after a major hurricane. it was very humid. Whenever I use the camera, and I notice it more when it's in raw, the green light that indicates it is accessing the card memory continues to blink in the off position.
I tried many of the things that were suggested in forums. Turn it to the off position all the way and let it spring back. (This camera really doesn't have that action.) Reformat the card in the camera. Use a different card. Use a different battery. Reset the camera to factory settings. None of this worked. I'm not sure if I have discovered the real cause of this on any forum.
So when I go out in the field, I more or less take the card and slightly eject it as if it is out of the camera in between taking photos. Obviously, I sometimes lose a shot like this. It isn't enough to carry an extra battery pack because this drains the battery ridiculously quickly.
Has any one actually solved this problem. I think my only course of action is to have the circuit board changed out. Thoughts?
