I used to scuba dive for many years and was into underwater still photography for several of those years. The cameras I used were all 35mm made by Nikon, specifically the Nikonos models. These cameras produced excellant pictures when used with the correct film and of course strobes. The old Nikonos cameras had several lense sizes to choose from which were very effective on what the subject was and the distance you were from that subject. I realize that this style of camera is a bit outdated and due to todays technology, I would guess that digital is the way to go.

My question is that is there a digital camera made specifically for underwater photography..? There are many questions I would like to ask regarding a camera like this ... lighting (hotshoe for strobe), micro capilibity, etc. Anyone have first hand exerience with the new digital technologly of underwater cameras...?

Thanks...
