This is the one I've been waiting on. Thanks. A tip for those that have the ability to use al servo mode. Now is the time. If you can't use the programed sports mode if you have that. A faster shutter speed is a must here. Some of the best images show a slight blur say in the feet of a racing horse while the rest of the horse is sharp. This is a real challenging assignment but stands to be a lot of fun ya'll. I love to do kids in action. Thanks for this Sheps Mom.

I like this one too, and am up to the challenge. Just have to wait and see what comes out of my shots. I'm not a "motion" person, but this is a learning experience. Have to wait till all the moving things in my house come home. The dog's no good for this as he lays around all day! He's part of my "still life" collection!

I was just outside with my camera, and not a bird in the sky. Guess I'll have to wait until dusk....

Your welcome Nomadicus!

bibit, you can pick something on the way home, if you have your cam handy

Carbondated, why wait till dusk? Do you have cars driving around? They make good motion blur objects!!

For what it's worth.... When in photo class with this assignment the prof would not allow flags blowing in the breeze. He called it a cheap shot that has been over worked for to long. I've got some kittens practicing their killer abilities on one another and hope to stage them some how in a knock down drag out fight. I don't know how they survive they way they attack each other but in a few they are buddies again laying on top of each other napping. Have an idea or two but not sure they will cooperate. I'm getting antsy for this one. Maybe one of the storms will provide some flying objects in the next few days.

Yikes at flying objects!

Nice assignment! I can't wait to give this one a shot (pun intended ). I think I'll try out the idea I had for the contest that I never got around to doing. But, I have sick kidlets right now so it may be a few days.

I'm working from home today and the cam IS a distraction! I've been rummaging through the kids toy boxes, but they're too old. Darn, it's hard to work when I have a play thing staring at me!
