Wow! Terrific photos, Einstein's Ghost! I particularly like the night shots. What kind of camera did you use for these? Just curious.

Fantastic shots, OP and all!

Can you share the EXIF data for the fireworks shots?

Kdog---can you explain your photo a little....what a bizarre shot. Looks like that factory is about to explode!

It looks like with the long exposure that kdog used, the smoke blurred which led to the resulting shot.

It's the Holbrook, Arizona Power Plant. Shot taken just after midnight on my way home from my Bosque del Apache Trip. Even though I was dead tired and anxious to get home, the spectacle of it appearing in the otherwise fairly featureless section of desert was remarkable, and I had to get the shot.

While it is a long exposure, it's actually quite indicative of how it looked. Evidently that's all steam rising up from cooling vats, and illuminated by tungsten lights which makes it look like fire.

Thanks!

Most of them were taken about 3 years ago, using Sony F828. I will try to edit my posts with exif info later.

EG - The Alamo and Lincoln Memorial are my faves! Great night shots...you've really captured some of the more somber moods!

Typical Exif for my fireworks pictures... Sony F828 (5 or 8 MP setting), F/8, 4s (3-5 seconds, using remote control), ISO64.
